We are [desi]gn cakes & cupcakes; currently located in Riverside, CA. I am Desi, the creator behind this sweet vision. I began baking cupcakes when I was little, when my Mom got me an Easy Bake Oven. I have grown up in a kitchen, and baking became a hobby which turned into a business after I graduated college from CSUSB & received a BA in Entrepreneurial Management (little did I know I would open my own cupcake business).
I grew up in a traditional Italian Family; we have grown up cooking & baking everything from scratch using family recipes & secrets. My family has always been my biggest inspiration for everything, and when it came to flavor combination’s and recipes, my heritage took front seat. I use flavors I grew up tasting. Carrot Cake from my Zia Paula (my great-aunt), Fig from our trees in my Grandpa’s backyard that I ate every summer until my stomach ached, and the Red Velvet is an inspiration from my Best Friends who love this cake and have always requested it for every celebration we have. PB & Presley is my Mom’s favorite, as she loves Elvis. This cupcake was made for her birthday, and has been a hit on our menu ever since.
I never went to school to be a baker or a culinarian. I love baking, and this is my passion. I have built this business with the assistance of my family and friends; all who have been personal taste testers, cupcake reviewers, assistants in the kitchen, and have been my BIGGEST supporters; for that I am incredibly grateful. I have hopes of owning a storefront in the near future, & until then, it’s online and custom orders.

[desi]gn cakes & cupcakes is currently an ONLINE BASED custom cupcakery.
Delivery & Set Up is available on orders in the Riverside (Inland Empire) area, and beyond depending on your personal event.
Deliveries are subject to delivery fees, and are dependent on location.
Since we currently do not have a store front (we’re coming soon), all pick ups are aranged through our commercial kitchens in Chino, CA.
Shipping: We currently offer shipping for our Cupcake in a Jar only. Shipping is via USPS, and is Priority Mail (2-3 Business Days). They are packed for freshness & safety of glass. Shipping is on average $11-$20, and can depend on your location (48 US States only), and express shipping is available, at an additional charge. Event Catering: [desi]gn cakes & cupcakes specializes in treats for all occasions. We are more than delighted to be a part of your special moments, whether that be a wedding, bridal shower, birthday, or family gathering. We are able to create a design based around your event, and customize your order to your desire. Since our cupcakes and cakes are custom, please inquire about a quote as soon as possible. This will assist in the creativity process, and allow us to do our very best to accommodate you. We do book in advance, please allow a minimum 2 weeks for a traditional order. Simply email us for details.
Cake Pricing: Since our cakes are custom-made to your special moment, we do not offer a standard pricing list. Cake pricing varies on the customization and complexity of your design. Please email us for an estimate, and for further details.
Special Event Tastings: We offer tastings for our treats for events such as weddings. There is a $75 non-refundable deposit required for all tasting appointments. Your tasting will include 3 cakes & frosting to taste for up to 2 people. If you decide to place your order with us, your tasting deposit will be applied towards your total order cost, after your order deposit is complete. Please email us to set up a tasting.
Weddings: In order to book your wedding, we do require a 50% non-refundable deposit to save your date. Once that deposit is received, your wedding date is saved in our books and your order is confirmed. Your remaining balance is due on or prior to that date upon delivery.

We will then reply to your email within 72 business hours, to verify and complete your order and the details. A non-refunable deposit of 50% is due to confirm your order, and final payment is necessary to complete your order upon delivery/pick up.
